Love is the sweetest thing in our life. Love is an expression of your truest feelings and emotions. Talk about love, you will remember a special day, it’s Valentine’s Day which is coming soon. It is an annual holiday held on February 14 celebrating love and affection between intimate companions. It is traditionally a day on which lovers express their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as “valentines”).

While sending cards, flowers, chocolates and other gifts is traditional in the UK, Valentine’s Day has various regional customs. While in Mexico, Guatemala and in El Salvador, Valentine’s Day is known as “Día del Amor y la Amistad” (Day of Love and Friendship). Although it is similar to the United States’ version in many ways, it is also common to see people do “acts of appreciation” for their friends. Valentine’s Day is celebrated in some Asian countries too with Singaporeans, Chinese and South Koreans spending the most money on Valentine’s gifts.

But in fact, not everybody like to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Some people hate it. Ashton Kutcher, the actor who is married to 47 years old actress Demi Moore, says he’d rather spend February 14 telling people he doesn’t like them. Kutcher said that he just dislikes the concept of one lovey-dovey day each year.

“I hate Valentine’s Day. I think every day should be a day of romance. Then, on Valentine’s Day you should get to tell whoever you hate that you cannot stand them. There would be one day of hating and 364 days of love,” the Daily Express quoted Ashton as saying.
