Violent protests continue in Iran over the alleged rigging of the Presidential Election. Apparently, someone uploaded footage of a young Iranian woman (Neda) being shot and killed by a Republican Guard Militia sniper. Protester shot and killed at Tehran election rally – June 20, 2009.

Neda video and photos, a beautiful Iranian woman shot in the streets of Tehran by state militia, serving as a rallying cry for freedom in Iran and around the world. She was shot in the heart by a Basij soldier on Saturday.

    Another thing, why is Moussavi hiding? If he is such a brave hero that is willing to undergo martyrdom, then why is he letting children (young men and young women) die on his behalf? Why doesn’t he name a young bright & aggressive successor, then lead in front of a large rally and then demand that the cowardly basij shoot him in the chest instead of a defenseless young girl? If does get killed, he will become an instant hero and his movement will be UNSTOPPABLE; the current regime will wiped out like the Shah’s regime. So why doesn’t this ‘politician’ practice what he preaches and make himself a martyr? Instead of just ‘talking’ about it on facebook & twitter? Because he’s probably a selfish politician whose looking after his own skin. Until he proves his sincerity by serious & personal sacrifice, then anyone that dies for him is a naive fool.

    Because Moussavi isn’t a brave man. This is just devestating to those who know nothing about this. This is a terrible terrible video & a true example of how technology & the use of video have changed society in the past 10 years.

    Her death has brought a lot of support, and attention to Iran. But sadly, it’s not enough for the government there, the government here, and the governments abroad.
