The Film Censorship Board on Wednesday said that it has not received any request from the Indonesian Council of Ulemas to halt the screening of “Hantu Puncak Datang Bulan” (“The Menstruating Puncak Ghost”), a new horror film opening in theaters today.

“There’s always these [rumors of film bans] and more than likely this latest rumor is some kind of promotional gimmick for the film,” Board member Firman Bintang told the Jakarta Globe. He said the media should not be taken in by such gimmicks. (continue reading…)

For all of you football lover, don’t missed this. The Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints will step onto the football field to determine who’s the best in all of the NFL On Sunday, February 7, 2010.  Each team has had a tough road to the big game, including having to make comebacks in their respective Championship games.  The current Superbowl information says that the Super Bowl time will start after 6PM.

It looks like that both teams are hungry for this NFL Championship after a tough playoffs. The Saints seemed to be faltering late in the regular season, but managed to win big in the playoffs, including a huge win in overtime against Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings. They continue to be lead by one of the top quarterbacks in the game, Drew Brees.  Meanwhile, the Colts had to stage a comeback behind their All-Pro QB, Peyton Manning, to defeat the New York Jets in the AFC Championship.  Now former Superbowl winner and league MVP, Peyton Manning will compete against opposing QB Drew Brees for football supremacy.

It is an annual holiday held on February 14 celebrating love and affection between intimate companions. It is traditionally a day on which lovers express their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as “valentines”).

While sending cards, flowers, chocolates and other gifts is traditional in the UK, Valentine’s Day has various regional customs. While in Mexico, Guatemala and in El Salvador, Valentine’s Day is known as “Día del Amor y la Amistad” (Day of Love and Friendship). Although it is similar to the United States’ version in many ways, it is also common to see people do “acts of appreciation” for their friends. Valentine’s Day is celebrated in some Asian countries too with Singaporeans, Chinese and South Koreans spending the most money on Valentine’s gifts.
